January 19th, 2023 by

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz lineup includes changes to all 23 model ranges, as well as seven brand new models scheduled to arrive in Tyler, Texas, by the end of 2022 or the first half of 2023. The new models include the EQE Sedan as a more affordable electric option, as well as a new trim level for the flagship EQS Sedan: the EQS 450 4MATIC®. The new lineup also features a new trim level for the EQB, as well as for its C-Class variants. The team at Mercedes-Benz of Tyler have put together this guide to walk you through the options.

New Vehicles for 2023

Mercedes-Benz makes numerous changes to its vehicles for 2023, but it also introduces seven new cars to the roster. Here’s a list of the new vehicles:

  • EQS 450 4MATIC® Sedan.
  • EQS 450 4MATIC®/EQS 580 4MATIC® SUV.
  • AMG® C 43 Sedan EQE 350+/350 4MATIC®/500 4MATIC® Sedan.
  • AMG®EQE Sedan EQB 250+ SUV.
  • GLC 300/GLC 300 4MATIC® SUV.

Mercedes-Benz has put a lot of work into expanding its fleet of electric vehicles, combining the newest technology with familiar luxury. There’s no need to trade power for environmental awareness because Mercedes delivers on both counts. You can expect superior comfort in every vehicle along with updated driver assist functionalities.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The C-Class models already received a full redesign in 2022. All of the C-Class vehicles now mimic the S-Class design in miniature inside and out for 2023. They also have spacious rear seating and great driver assist options available.

The 2023 lineup includes a new addition: the AMG® C 43 performance model. This upgraded vehicle uses a mild hybrid four-cylinder with an F1-style electric turbocharger. The newer model has an increase of 27 horsepower over the 2022 version despite its V-6 engine. In fact, the new model can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. This turbocharged technology was derived from the Mercedes F1 racing teams.

The AMG® C 43 is a compact car with all-wheel drive. It comes with 18-inch wheels, and it includes many of the comforts that Mercedes drivers expect. These include rain-detecting intermittent wipers, automatic high beams, and voice-activated dual-zone automatic air conditioning. It also includes a large infotainment tablet angled toward the driver, offering the latest MBUX interface.

The interior of the AMG® C 43 is sporty and includes a carbon fiber trim and a steering wheel with a flat bottom. You can upgrade to performance seats, heated and ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Upgrade options also include noise-insulating window glass.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Updates

The new E-Class vehicles all feature metallic paint as standard across the range. All two- and four-door E 53 models now include Nappa leather for a high-class feel. While the vehicles in this class have limited room in the rear seats, they embody the luxury that Mercedes-Benz lovers are used to and combine it with new technology.

What’s New for the 2023 Mercedes EQE-Class

In response to the increased demand for electric vehicles, Mercedes-Benz adds a new sedan to its 2023 lineup. The EQE is a smaller electric sedan that’s available in three trim levels: the EQE 350, EQE 350+, and EQE500. At a starting MSRP of $76,050 for the EQE 350, this luxury vehicle comes equipped with all the features you need, including wireless charging, heated front seats, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-assist features.

The EQE 350 has a driving range of over 300 miles, which is impressive. It only takes 9.5 hours to charge the battery from 10% to 100% using a Level 2 charger. A DC fast charger can accomplish even more, charging from 10% to 80% in a record 31 minutes.

The interior of the new EQE lineup combines a luxury feel with an elegant design and ample passenger space. The ambient lighting and Hyperscreen dashboard give the interior a futuristic feel. The EQE vehicles include a panoramic sunroof and standard heated and ventilated cushions.

Changes to the Mercedes EQS-Class

The EQS-Class includes a new powertrain option, which is the dual-motor EQS 450 4MATIC®. This electric sedan can seat up to seven people while covering an impressive range of 340 miles. With all-wheel drive, 355 horsepower, and 590 lb-ft of torque, this luxury vehicle can hold the entire family thanks to its ample cargo space and still tow an impressive load. The 2023 EQS models come with 20-inch AMG® wheel options. The cars in this class all deliver an ultra-quiet and comfortable ride.

The 4MATIC® comes with the intelligent OFFROAD driving mode and navigation through Electric Intelligence. With this combination of technology, sustainability, luxury, and style, the new EQS 450 4MATIC® is a welcome addition to the EQS-Class.

All-New Design for the GLC SUV

The GLC SUV will have new exterior and interior designs. The vehicle features a new 2.0L inline-four turbo engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. The side mirrors were relocated for improved driver visibility, and new headlights and a beltline enhance the car’s aerodynamics. The GLC SUV is available in three trim lines: the Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle.

All trim lines include voice-activated infotainment and navigation systems. They also include the new driver assistance system and a steering wheel with capacitive touch technology.

Vehicle Classes With No or Minimal Changes

You can’t expect major updates to every car in the lineup because of the sheer number of vehicles. For example, the CLA Coupe doesn’t have any equipment changes. The C-Class sedan also remains unchanged. The E-Class sedans now include metallic paint as a standard option, which is also the case for the E-Class All-Terrain, Wagon, Coupe, and Cabriolet models. The S-Class sedan, Maybach S-Class, and SL Roadster include new paint and upholstery options. The GLA SUV and GLB SUV remain unchanged for 2023.

The New Mercedes-Benz Lineup

With the extensive changes Mercedes-Benz has in store for you in its 2023 lineup, you’ll surely want to be one of the first people to test-drive these new cars. Some of the vehicles won’t be available until the first half of 2023, but several of the new models are expected to hit the sales floor in Tyler by the end of 2022.
